This policy applies to the BanknotePro web application. Upgrade to Pro and payments are handled by Paddle; payment and billing data are processed according to Paddle's privacy practices as well.

- Scanned / Uploaded Images: Photos of banknotes you upload for analysis are processed for analysis and not permanently stored on our servers after processing.
- Payment / Pro upgrades: Upgrade to Pro is handled by Paddle. Payment and billing information are collected and processed by Paddle in accordance with their privacy policy.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Data: How you use the Service (features used, scans performed, time spent).
- Device / Browser Information: Browser type, device type, operating system, and similar technical data.
- Scan History: Records of scans may be stored locally or on our servers as needed to provide the service.
- App Performance Data: Crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics to improve the Service.
2.3 AI Processing Data
When you scan or upload a banknote, we process the image to generate analysis results. Images are processed temporarily and are not permanently stored on our servers after analysis is complete.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide the Service: Process and analyze banknote scans and deliver results
- Process Transactions: Pro upgrades and payments are handled by Paddle; we may receive confirmation and subscription status
- Personalize Experience: Remember your preferences and history to improve your experience
- Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns and feedback to enhance features and fix issues
- Support and Security: Respond to questions, troubleshoot, and detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Improve Analysis: Use anonymized data to improve our analysis capabilities (only non-identifiable information)
- Legal Compliance: Meet legal requirements and respond to lawful requests from authorities
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage
Some data may be stored in your browser (e.g. preferences, session data). Your scan history and results may be stored on our servers to provide the Service across devices.
4.2 Cloud Storage
We store on secure servers: user/account identifiers (for credits and abuse prevention), subscription status (including information from Paddle regarding Pro upgrades), temporary scan data for processing, and anonymized analytics.
4.3 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure data transmission (HTTPS), and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with third parties only as follows:
- Paddle: For processing Pro subscription payments and managing upgrades. Paddle's privacy policy applies to their processing of payment data.
- Cloud Infrastructure: For hosting and data storage.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or respond to lawful requests.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred; we will notify you of any such change.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy or as required by law:
- Scan Data: Retained as needed to provide the Service; you may delete your account or data.
- User / Account Data: You may request deletion; requests are processed in line with our abuse-prevention measures.
- Payment Records: Retained for accounting and legal compliance (e.g. 7 years); Paddle may retain data per their policy.
- Usage Analytics: Retained in anonymized form for up to 2 years.
- Scan Processing Data: Deleted shortly after analysis is complete.
8. Children's Privacy
BanknotePro is not intended for use by individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@bllekholl.com and we will take steps to delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards in accordance with this policy and applicable laws. For EU users, we ensure transfers comply with GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses where necessary.
